UnDistorted (“the app”) is a personal cognitive-distortion training program. This policy explains how the app handles your information. In short: the app keeps everything on your device and sends nothing to us or anyone else.

The short version
- The app does not collect, transmit, or sell any personal data.
- Everything you enter stays on your device.
- There are no accounts, no logins, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party tracking.
- You can export or erase your data at any time from within the app.
What the app stores, and where
Everything you do in the app — your weekly check-ins, daily stem entries, journal entries, quick logs, program progress, and settings — is stored locally on your device using on-device storage. This information never leaves your device unless you choose to export it yourself (see “Backups”). We operate no servers and have no ability to see, access, or retrieve your information.
What the app does not do
- It does not create an account or require you to sign in.
- It does not use analytics or crash-reporting services.
- It does not display advertising or use advertising identifiers.
- It does not include third-party tracking or social-media components.
- It does not transmit your entries, scores, or usage to any server.
Notifications
If you turn on reminders, the app schedules them locally on your device. No reminder data is sent anywhere, and the app does not use internet-delivered push notifications.
Biometric unlock and passcode
- Biometric checks (such as fingerprint or face unlock) are handled entirely by your device’s operating system. The app never receives, sees, or stores your biometric data.
- Your passcode is stored only on your device in a protected form and is never transmitted.
Backups
You can export a backup file from Data Management. The file is created only at your request and saved wherever you choose. If you have set a passcode, the backup is encrypted. The app does not upload backups anywhere — you control the file. Importing a backup reads a file you select.
Crisis resources
If a check-in suggests you may be struggling, the app may show optional links to crisis-support resources. Choosing one opens your phone’s dialer, your messaging app, or an external website (for example, a helpline directory). Those services are run by third parties with their own privacy practices. The app sends them no information about you; it simply opens the contact method you tap.
Your control over your data
Because all data is stored only on your device, you are always in control of it:
- Export: save a copy at any time from Data Management.
- Delete: erase everything from Data Management, Reset App, or by uninstalling the app. Deletion is immediate and permanent.
Children
UnDistorted is intended for adults and is not directed to children. The app does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the updated version will be posted with a new effective date, both here and in the app.
